In 1880, Eva Howe’s husband, James, came home in a drunken rage and murdered her in the front yard of their home. James was then hanged in front of the courthouse. Illegal Pete’s FoCo location stands where Eva and James’ house once did, and our ghost icon is an ode to Eva’s (friendly) spirit, who’s been known to flicker our lights from time to time.
